Reset PIX 515E Factory Defaults

The first thing you should do when you get a new PIX firewall is reset it to factory defaults, even if it has never been used. Here's the basic process:

Establish a connection either via Serial, Telnet

issue the enable command

from here do a config t

you should now show config mode

issue the following command to restore to factory defaults

That's it!
